The hours

NEPSE trades Monday to Friday, from 11:00 to 15:00 Nepal Standard Time (NST). The exchange is closed on Saturdays and on public holidays and festivals such as Dashain and Tihar. Confirm the holiday calendar on NEPSE's website, because it changes every year.

Is the market open right now?

What does "market closed" mean for you?

  • Real orders cannot be matched. Prices on this site and in apps show the last traded price until the market reopens.
  • You can still research companies, read charts and plan your trades.
  • In NEPSE Demo Trading you can place an after-market order, which is queued for the next session.

How fresh are prices on this website?

Prices on this site refresh about every 15 minutes, so use the app or your broker's screen if you need the latest number during trading hours. See the live list on our share prices page.

Use the quiet hours to learn

Outside trading hours is a good time to study. Read how circuit limits work, learn to read a stock chart, or practise with virtual money.

Trading days and hours have been revised in the past. Always check NEPSE's official notices.
